Ariz. Admin. Code § R4-38-303 - Board Standards for a Formal Education Program
A. The Board establishes the following
minimum standards for a formal education program in the subject area specified:
1. Neuromuscular integration therapy
procedures. A formal education program in neuromuscular integration therapy
procedures shall:
a. Be provided at an
educational institution and designed to qualify a graduate as a physical
therapist assistant in a U.S. jurisdiction; or
b. Consist of 750 hours of educational
training and 250 hours of supervised clinical experience in Feldenkrais,
Rolfing, Hellerwork, Trager, Orthobionomy, Shiatsu, Reiki, Polarity, Jin Shin
Jyutsu, or a similar therapy;
2. Homeopathic repertorization procedures. A
formal education program in homeopathic repertorization procedures shall:
a. Be provided at an educational
institution,
b. Be designed to
train a graduate in classical homeopathy, and
c. Consist of the following:
i. 200 hours of education training,
and
ii. 100 hours of supervised
clinical experience, and
3. Nutrition counseling and orthomolecular
therapy procedures. A formal education program in nutrition counseling and
orthomolecular therapy procedures shall:
a. Be
provided at an educational institution, and
b. Consist of the following:
i. 500 hours of education training,
and
ii. 175 hours of supervised
clinical internship, or
c. Result in certification by the Clinical
Nutrition Certification Board.
B. If a homeopathic physician applies to
register as a medical assistant an individual who completed a formal education
program in a homeopathic modality other than those listed in subsection (A),
the homeopathic physician shall submit to the Board evidence that the program
consists of educational training and clinical supervision that is substantially
equivalent to the requirements specified in
R4-38-103(C).
