Ariz. Admin. Code § R6-5-4916 - Special Eligibility Criteria
A. Transitional Child Care
1. Former Cash Assistance participants who
are attempting to achieve independence from the Cash Assistance program, who
need Child Care Assistance for employment, and who are otherwise eligible shall
receive up to 24 months of Transitional Child Care Assistance.
2. The former Cash Assistance participant
shall have received Cash Assistance in Arizona in at least one month and shall
apply for Child Care Assistance within six months after the Cash Assistance
case closure date.
3. The former
Cash Assistance participant and any other parent or responsible person in the
household shall need Child Care Assistance to maintain employment.
4. The most recent Cash Assistance case
closure shall not have been due to a sanction for Jobs or Child Support
noncompliance, and the Cash Assistance participant shall not have been
sanctioned due to intentional program violation (IPV) at the time of the most
recent Cash Assistance case closure.
B. Cash Assistance Diversion Participants.
1. Applicants for Cash Assistance who are
diverted from long-term Cash Assistance through the Cash Assistance Diversion
program shall be treated as Cash Assistance participants during the three-month
period that the Cash Assistance Diversion payment covers.
2. Cash Assistance Diversion participants
shall be eligible for Child Care Assistance for employment activities without
regard to income as prescribed in
R6-5-4914(A)
during the three-month Diversion period.
3. Cash Assistance Diversion participants
shall be eligible for Child Care Assistance for job search activities during
the three-month Diversion period.
4. Cash Assistance Diversion participants
shall be eligible for Transitional Child Care after the three-month Diversion
period if the income eligibility requirements in
R6-5-4914(B)
and the TCC requirements in subsection (A) of this provision are met.
