Ariz. Admin. Code § R6-5-5215 - Children with Special Needs
A. When enrolling a child with special needs,
a provider shall comply with the requirements of this Section:
1. A provider shall consult with parents to
establish a mutually agreed upon plan regarding services for a child with
special needs;
2. A provider shall
have the physical ability and appropriate training to provide the care required
by a child with special needs;
3. A
provider shall use best efforts to integrate a child with special needs into
the daily activities of the home facility in a manner that is the least
restrictive, and that meets the child's individual needs;
4. If a provider regularly cares for a child
with special needs older than age 3 who requires diapering, the home facility
shall have a diaper changing area that permits the child to have privacy.
Proper sanitation shall be maintained as described in
R6-5-5211.
B. A provider shall make
reasonable accommodations in the home facility, equipment, and materials for a
child with special needs.
