Ariz. Admin. Code § R7-6-213 - Classroom Temperature
A. A school
facility shall have an HVAC or other system capable of maintaining a
temperature between 68° and 82° F under normal conditions with an
occupied classroom.
B.
Except in areas where the elevation is above 5,000
feet, defective or non-operable air conditioners and evaporative coolers shall
be replaced with air conditioning. Non-air conditioned schools with elevations
less than 5,000 feet shall be air-conditioned.
