Ariz. Admin. Code § R9-5-506 - Supplemental Standards for School-age Children
A licensee providing child care services for school-age children shall:
1. Ensure that a staff
member supervises an enrolled school-age child to and from a bathroom and
allows the enrolled child privacy while in the bathroom;
2. Ensure that if an enrolled child remains
in the bathroom for more than three minutes, the supervising staff member
checks on the enrolled child to ensure the child's safety;
3. Provide age-appropriate toys, materials,
and equipment accessible to enrolled children in each activity area in a
quantity sufficient to meet the needs of the enrolled children in attendance
including:
a. Arts and crafts,
b. Games,
c. Puzzles and toys to enhance manipulative
skills,
d. Books,
e. Science materials,
f. Sports equipment, and
g. Outdoor play equipment; and
4. Provide enrolled school-age
children with a quiet study area.
