Ariz. Admin. Code § R9-6-390 - Streptococcus pneumoniae Invasive Infection
1. If a reported
Streptococcus pneumoniae infection case or suspect case is
five or more years of age:
a. Confirm the diagnosis of
Streptococcus pneumoniae infection for each reported
Streptococcus pneumoniae infection case or suspect case who is
five or more years of age; and
b. For each Streptococcus
pneumoniae infection case who is five or more years of age, submit to
the Department, as specified in Article 2, Table 4, the information required
under R9-6-206(C); and
2. If a reported
Streptococcus pneumoniae infection case or suspect case is
under five years of age:
a. Conduct an epidemiologic
investigation for each reported Streptococcus pneumoniae
infection case or suspect case who is under five years of age;
and
b. For each Streptococcus
pneumoniae infection case who is under five years of age, submit to
the Department, as specified in Article 2, Table 4, the information required
under R9-6-206(D).
