Ariz. Admin. Code § R9-7-104 - Prohibited Uses
A. A person
shall not use the following fluoroscopic devices:
1. Hand-held fluoroscopic screens,
2. Shoe-fitting fluoroscopic
devices.
B. Except as
specifically authorized by law, a person shall not use sources of ionizing
radiation for the purpose of screening an individual or inspecting an
individual for:
1. Concealed
weapons,
2. Hazardous
materials,
3. Stolen property,
or
4. Contraband.
C. Unless there is a medical or
dental indication for the exposure and the exposure is prescribed by a licensed
practitioner, a person shall not deliberately expose an individual to the
useful beam from:
1. An ionizing radiation
machine; or
2. A non-ionizing
radiation source, having a radiation beam known to be harmful to human
tissue.
