Ariz. Admin. Code § R9-7-1726 - Energy Compensation Source
A. A licensee may use an energy compensation
source (ECS) in a logging tool, or other tool component, if the ECS contains a
quantity of radioactive material that does not exceed 3.7 MBq (100
microcuries).
B. If used in a well
with a surface casing, an ECS is subject to all Sections of this Article except
R9-7-1702, R9-7-1728, and R9-7-1751.
C. If used in a well logging hole without a
surface casing, an ECS is subject to all Sections of this Article.
