Ariz. Admin. Code § R9-7-312 - Issuance of Specific Licenses
A. Upon determination that a license
application meets the requirements of the Act and Department rules, the
Department shall grant a specific license that may contain conditions or
limitations if the Department has determined that additional requirements
regarding the proposed activity will protect health and safety.
B. The Department may incorporate in any
license at the time of issuance, or thereafter by rule or order, additional
requirements and conditions with respect to the licensee's receipt, possession,
use, and transfer of radioactive material in order to:
1. Minimize danger to public health and
safety or property;
2. Require
reports and recordkeeping, and provide for inspections of activities under the
license as may be necessary to protect health and safety; and
3. Prevent loss or theft of material subject
to this Article.
C. The
Department may verify information contained in an application and secure
additional information necessary to make a determination on issuance of a
license and whether any special conditions should be attached to the license.
The Department may inspect the facility or location where radioactive materials
would be possessed or used, and discuss details of the proposed possession or
use of the radioactive materials with the applicant or representatives
designated by the applicant.
