002.01.24 Ark. Code R. 016 - 26.14 Recreational Netting Restricted

It is unlawful to possess or use gill nets, trammel nets, hoop nets (including fiddler size), or slat traps while fishing with a valid Resident Fisheries Conservation License.

EXCEPTION:

Possessors of a Resident Recreational Netting Permit and a valid Resident Fisheries Conservation License may fish up to a combination of five hoop nets or slat traps or 100 yards of gill or trammel net webbing on waters open to commercial fishing, in compliance with Codes 30.05, 30.06, 30.07, 30.08, 30.10, 30.13, and 30.14 and the following restrictions:

1. Nets must be clearly labeled, in a durable manner with one of the following:
a. The name and address;
b. Driver's license number;
c. AGFC customer identification number; or
d. The current vehicle license plate number of the person using such equipment.
2. Only Rough Fish and three daily limits of catfish species may be harvested with recreational netting gear on waters open to commercial fishing.
3. Fish may not be sold.
4. It is unlawful to fail to check and remove catch from all recreational netting tackle at least once during each 48-hour period.
