002.01.24 Ark. Code R. 146 - 20.04 Cutting Devices And Chemicals Prohibited On WMAs
It is unlawful to use or possess chemical defoliants or cutting devices, including but not limited to, chainsaws, handsaws, hatchets, axes, weed trimmers, or string trimmers on WMAs.
EXCEPTIONS:
A. Common hunting knives, pocket knives, and
pocket saws.
B. Landowners or their
agents on cooperative WMAs and timber contractors.
C. Campers in designated camping
areas.
D. Trappers using hatchets
during trapping season.
E. By
written permit issued by the Commission or designee.
F. Tree hooks with screw threads not greater
than 3/8 inch in diameter allowed on Commission -owned WMAs.
PENALTY: Class 1
