004.00.20 Ark. Code R. 063 - AR 206 Trading or Trafficking with and Aiding or Abetting Unauthorized Actions by Inmates/Parolees
I.
POLICY:
To prohibit employees from trading or trafficking with or aiding or abetting unauthorized actions by inmates/parolees.
II.
EXPLANATION:
A. No employee may trade or traffic with or
aid and abet an unauthorized action by an inmate. The following actions by
employees shall constitute reason for an employee's suspension and/or discharge
from state employment and possible prosecution.
1. Providing inmates with any controlled
substances, stimulates or depressants, or prescription medication without
authorization from health care personnel.
2. Providing alcoholic beverages or materials
and/or ingredients for the manufacture of alcoholic beverages to an
inmate.
3. Providing an inmate with
any type of assistance or advice relative to an escape or other unauthorized or
illegal action.
4. Providing an
inmate with a recognized weapon, a weapon as defined by Arkansas statutes or
material which is intended to be made into a weapon.
5. Dealing in or providing an inmate with any
recognized contraband or contraband as described in Arkansas
statutes.
6. Trafficking in
information about security planning or procedures with individuals - inmates,
employees, or other persons.
7.
Providing inmates with security control equipment or state-owned equipment not
properly authorized for use by an inmate.
