016.20.95 Ark. Code R. 020 - 1996 Cost of Living Increase

The Cost of Living Increase for Social Security recipients in 1995 will be 2.6 percent.

Therefore, the following amounts will be effective January 1, 1996:

1. The Long Term Care (LTC), TEFRA, and Home and Community Based Waiver income limits will be $1410.00.

2. The SSI/SPA full benefit level for an individual will be $470.00 and for a couple it will be $705.00.

3. The 1/3 reduction for living in the household of another is $313.34 for an individual and $470.00 for a couple.

4. The living allowance for an ineligible spouse or an ineligible child in the deeming procedures is raised to $235.00,

5. Presumed value of in-kind support and maintenance will be $176.65 for an individual and $255.00 for a couple.

6. The Minimum Monthly Maintenance Needs Allowance on the DCO-712 will be increased to $1919.00.

7. The Spousal Minimum Resource Standard on the DCO-713 will be increased to $15,348.00 and the Maximum Resource Standard will be increased to $76,740.00.

The January 1996 revised DCO-712 and DCO-713 should be available in Central Supply by mid-December.

The memorandum of instructions for processing these changes for Long Term Care and other Medicaid applicants/recipients will be issued in December.
