8 CCR 1203-22, pt. 2.0 - [Effective 3/17/2025] Requirements for All Certified Seed Potatoes
2.1.0 Pursuant to ยง
35-27.3-108(1)(b)(II), C.R.S., all certified seed potatoes planted in Colorado in lots sufficient to plant one or more acres as specified in Part 9.0 must meet the following requirements:
2.1.1 Based on the postharvest test, the lot may contain no more than 5% tubers with virus, including no more than 1% PVYN serotype strains (PVYN and PVYNTN).
2.1.2 No tubers may contain any Mop Top or Tobacco Rattle Virus;
2.1.3 The lot must be free of Bacterial Ring Rot (Clavibacter michiganensis subsp. Sepedonicus) and Golden nematode (Globodera rostochiensis),
2.1.4 All seed potatoes imported into the San Luis Valley must meet the requirements of the Quarantine for Late Blight, 8 CCR 1203-13.
2.2.0 Growers must maintain documentation of compliance with these disease standards for a period of two years for each lot of seed potatoes planted.
