6 CCR 1011-1 Chapter 22, pt. 16 - [Effective 3/17/2025] HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES
16.1 Each facility
shall provide housekeeping services which ensure a safe and sanitary
environment. If the facility contracts with an outside vendor to provide
housekeeping services, there shall be a written agreement regarding the
services and the facility shall be ultimately responsible for quality control
of the contractor.
16.2 Written
policies and procedures shall be established and followed which ensure adequate
cleaning and/or disinfection of the facility and equipment.
16.3 All cleaning materials, solutions,
cleaning compounds, and hazardous substances shall be properly identified and
stored in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
16.4 All waste containers in client care
areas shall be waterproof, lined, and clean.
16.5 All personnel shall wash their hands
immediately after handling waste.
