Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 14-51.012 - Trailblazing Signs
(1) Trailblazers shall be used for
destinations which are five miles or more from the interchange or intersection
and a motorist could drive through highly developed areas, "Y" intersections,
or multiple strip developments to reach the destination.
(2) Local governments shall have all
trailblazers in place on their road system prior to installing the
corresponding destination sign or Tourist-Oriented Directional Sign on the
state highway system.
(3)
Trailblazers shall provide the distance and/or direction to the nearest or most
convenient point of access.
(4)
Trailblazers shall match the color scheme or symbol of its corresponding sign
on the state highway system.
