Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 18-1.005 - Appraisal Map and Survey
(1) For each
project or parcel of property, the Division shall provide for use by the
appraisers, at acquiring agency's cost if an acquiring agency is involved in
the acquisition, either a certified survey or appraisal map.
(2) Prior to closing, a certified survey must
be obtained, at the acquiring agency's cost if an acquiring agency is
participating in the acquisition unless the following criteria have been met:
(a) The parcel is surrounded by state-owned
land or surrounded by land the state intends to acquire;
(b) The parcel is located within a
subdivision or in a section in which the controlling land corners have been
recently surveyed and the survey drawing is acceptable for computing
acreage;
(c) The parcel is in its
unimproved condition;
(d) Although
the parcel lines were not surveyed, it appears that the boundaries of the
parcel do not adjoin fences or improvements other than those managed by the
state;
(e) The parcel was visually
inspected; and,
(f) The managing
agency concurs that the parcel does not need to be
surveyed.
