Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 40E-3.041 - Permits Required
(1) Unless expressly
exempted by statute or District rule, a permit must be obtained from the
District or delegated agency prior to the construction, repair, or abandonment
of any water well within the District's jurisdiction.
(2) No test hole or water test well shall be
converted to a water well until a well construction permit or modification is
obtained. No monitoring well shall be converted to a production well until a
well construction permit or modification thereof is obtained for each
production well.
(3) If a potable
well is proposed to be constructed in an area of known groundwater
contamination, the well shall be permitted pursuant to Chapter 62-524,
F.A.C.
(4) Permits for
construction, repair, modification, or abandonment of wells for which a water
use permit is required under Chapter 40E-2, F.A.C., shall not be issued prior
to issuance of the water use permit authorizing water use
withdrawals.
