Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 5C-27.001 - Dogs or Cats - Intrastate Transfer of Ownership
(1) Prior to the transfer of ownership by
sale of a dog or cat within the state, the owner, broker or transferor of the
dog or cat shall first obtain an official certificate of veterinary inspection
in accordance with section
828.29, F.S. The following are
acceptable as official certificates of veterinary inspection:
(a) An Official Certificate of Veterinary
Inspection of Intrastate Sale of a Dog or Cat, FDACS-09085, Rev. 01/18, herby
incorporated by reference and available online at
http://www.flrules.org/Gateway/referencde.asp?No=Ref-09318. Copies may also be
obtained from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services,
Division of Animal Industry, Bronson Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, 2700
N. John Young Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34741, (321)697-1400.
(b) An official electronic certificate of
veterinary inspection that includes all information required by section
828.29, F.S.
(2) The original official certificate of
veterinary inspection shall be provided to the owner or agent to whom ownership
is being transferred.
