Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 5E-1.008 - Low Analysis Fertilizer
(1) Definition. The
term "low analysis fertilizer" shall apply to fertilizer which contains less
than 16% total primary plant nutrients.
(a)
The label of any low analysis fertilizer shall contain the grade in close
proximity to the product name, e.g., "African Violet Plant Food
2-1-1".
(b) Low analysis mixed
fertilizer containing less than 5% total primary plant nutrients may be
guaranteed in other than whole percentages; however, each primary plant
nutrient claimed shall be no less than 0.5%. There are no minimum primary plant
nutrient guarantees for ready-to-use spray fertilizer products. Potting soils
and mulch products for above ground use may be guaranteed in other than whole
percentages.
