Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 61G5-22.008 - Scalp Treatments and Hair Care Rinses
(1) Objective:
To provide a beneficial service of stimulation to contribute to a healthy scalp and to select a specific treatment that will improve the appearance of a client's hair following proper safety precautions in the application procedure.
(2)
Learning Objectives:
(a) To describe the
benefits of scalp manipulations;
(b) To explain when scalp manipulations can
and cannot be given;
(c) To
describe the application of electricity in high frequency scalp
treatments;
(d) To become aware of
the physical and chemical actions that damage hair;
(e) To describe the use of proteins in
treating the hair;
(f) To clarify
and describe different types of conditioners;
(g) To define temporary hair coloring;
and
(h) To describe the advantages
and disadvantages of temporary colors.
(3) Performance Objectives:
(a) To give a scalp treatment using physical
manipulations of stimulation;
(b)
To provide high frequency scalp treatments using proper safety precautions to
protect the client;
(c) To assess
hair damage and choose the appropriate conditioners; and
(d) To select and apply temporary color
rinses according to the client's desire and
need.
