Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 62-528.645 - Plugging and Abandonment Permit for Class V Wells
(1) The owner or operator of any Class V well
shall apply for a plugging and abandonment permit when the well is no longer
used or usable for its intended purpose or other purpose as approved by the
Department. The Application shall include the proposed plugging plan and
justification for abandonment. Plugging shall be performed by a Florida
licensed water well contractor.
(2)
Upon completion of plugging and abandonment procedures, the engineer of record
shall provide certification of completion in accordance with the plans and
specifications.
(3) The owner or
operator of any Class V well shall provide evidence, such as a sealed copy of
certification from the county clerk, that a surveyor's plot of the location of
the abandoned well has been recorded in the county courthouse property
records.
