Fla. Admin. Code Ann. R. 69K-24.040 - Licensure of Centralized Embalming Facilities
(1) Centralized embalming facilities that are
operated independently of funeral establishments shall register with the Board
of Funeral, Cemetery, and Consumer Services.
(2) Centralized embalming facilities shall
apply to the Department to be registered and shall pay a nonrefundable
application fee of $300 together with an annual inspection fee of $225 for each
year for which the initial license will be issued.
(3) Centralized embalming facilities shall
apply to the Department for renewal of registration and shall pay a
nonrefundable renewal fee of $300 together with the annual inspection fee of
$225 for each year for which the license will be issued.
(4) Centralized embalming facilities shall
include the registration number issued by the Board on all forms, including the
Report of Bodies Handled as required by rule
69K-20.001, F.A.C., and on
advertisements or solicitations to funeral homes or direct disposal
establishments.
(5) A full-time
embalmer in charge shall be responsible for no more than one centralized
embalming facility.
