Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 80-12-2-.05 - Certification of Articles of Incorporation
(1) Upon receipt of all required fees, an
application form and package, and the articles of incorporation, the Department
will certify one copy of the articles of incorporation and return it to the
applicant in order for the applicant to comply with the provisions of O.C.G.A.
§
7-9-5(c).
The issuance of the certified articles of incorporation to the applicant shall
not be construed as evidence that the application form and package has been
completed to the satisfaction of the Department or that all required
documentation has been provided to the Department to aid in its review of the
MALPB charter application.
(2) The
applicant shall provide the Department with an affidavit executed by the duly
authorized agent or publisher of a newspaper attesting that the articles of
incorporation or a summary statement was published once a week for two (2)
consecutive weeks in the newspaper which is the official organ of the county
where the applicant's main office is located.
