Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 120-3-26-.16 - Reinstallation of Certain Boilers and Pressure Vessels
(1) A Boiler or
Pressure Vessel that is not constructed pursuant to the ASME Code or is not
registered with the National Board shall not be reinstalled at any location in
this State, when the reinstallation is accompanied by a change of ownership of
the boiler or pressure vessel unless the Owner, User receives a State Special
Permit.
(2) Secondhand boilers or
pressure vessels cannot be installed unless an application for "Permit to
Install" has been approved by the Chief Inspector followed by a certificate
inspection by a Deputy Inspector.
(3) When a standard boiler or pressure vessel
located in this jurisdiction has been removed outside the jurisdiction for
temporary use or repair, application shall be made for a permit to install by
the owner or user to the Chief Inspector for permission to reinstall the boiler
or pressure vessel in the jurisdiction.
