Eligibility Requirements.
(a) To be eligible for the professional
Special Education Preschool Ages 3-5 Endorsement the applicant must hold a
level four (4) or higher renewable professional certificate in Birth Through
Kindergarten, Elementary Education, or a Special Education field. The applicant
must also complete other requirements outlined in GaPSC Rule
505-2-.14 ENDORSEMENTS.
(b) To be eligible for the Three (3)-Year
Induction Special Education Preschool Ages 3-5 Endorsement the applicant must
hold a level four (4) or higher Five (5)-Year Induction certificate in Birth
Through Kindergarten, Elementary Education, or a Special Education field. The
applicant must also complete other requirements outlined in GaPSC Rule
505-2-.14

An individual with the Special Education Preschool Ages 3-5 endorsement is
in-field to work with students ages 3-5 (below K) with disabilities other than
visually and hearing impaired, under the following conditions: The educator may
work collaboratively with a content area teacher of record in all content
subjects. To serve as a teacher of record, the educator may teach only the
content subjects of his/her base certificate field(s). If a preschool child is
visually or hearing impaired, resource/consultative services must be provided
by appropriately certified personnel associated with the sensory impairment.
