Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 511-2-4-.01 - Definitions
Unless a different meaning is required by the context, the following terms as used in these Rules shall have the meaning hereinafter respectively ascribed to same:
(a)
"Department" means the Georgia Department of Public Health.
(b) "Sexually Transmitted Disease" is any
case of chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea or chancroid.
(c) "Case of Sexually Transmitted Disease" is
any person diagnosed as having a sexually transmitted disease.
(d) "Test" is any laboratory procedure
conducted for the purpose of aiding in the discovery or diagnosis of a sexually
transmitted disease.
(e) "Reactive
or Positive Test" means any laboratory result suggesting the presence of
sexually transmitted disease.
