Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 511-2-4-.02 - Reporting of Sexually Transmitted Disease

(1) Any physician or other person who makes a diagnosis of or treats a case of sexually transmitted disease, any superintendent or manager of a hospital, dispensary, or charitable or penal institution in which there is discovered a case of sexually transmitted disease shall report it immediately to the Department. Each such sexually transmitted disease case shall be reported to the Department by giving name, address, color, age, sex, and a diagnosis on forms furnished by the Department.
(2) All laboratories conducting tests for sexually transmitted disease shall report to the Department daily, as they occur, all reactive or positive tests for sexually transmitted disease by giving name, address, color, age and sex of patient on forms furnished by the Department.
(3) Information reported on these forms shall be kept confidential by the Department.
