Ga. Comp. R. & Regs. R. 560-10-30-.33 - Certificate of Title Exclusion for Commercial Vehicle Registration
(1) Upon
satisfaction of the following conditions, a nonresident owner may be exempted
by the commissioner under O.C.G.A. §
40-3-4(4).
(2) Commercial vehicles owned by nonresidents
that are:
(a) Properly titled in the state of
such owner's residence, and
(b)
Where the vehicle is required to be registered in this state pursuant to
O.C.G.A. §
40-2-88 known as the International
Registration Plan (IRP).
(3) For an IRP registration to be granted:
(a) The applicant has met the requirements
for registration pursuant to Chapter 2 of Title 40 of the O.C.G.A.;
(b) The nonresident individual must present a
copy of the out-of-state title;
(c)
Said title must be verified by a law enforcement officer; and
(d) Proof of prior registration in another
state must be furnished.
