Haw. Code R. § 11-1-31 - Public access; documents and hearings
(a) Documents filed
with the department in a contested case shall be available for public
inspection under section
11-1-5.
(b) Hearings shall be open to the public
unless otherwise provided by law. Prehearing and post hearing conferences shall
be closed to the public. Hearings may be closed to the public for the time
necessary to address information and documents that are confidential pursuant
to law.
(c) Confidential treatment
may be requested where authorized by statute or rule. For good cause shown, the
hearings officer may grant such a request.
