Haw. Code R. § 11-123-2 - Definitions
As used in this chapter, unless the context otherwise requires:
"Original birth certificate" means the first birth certificate prepared and filed for the adopted person at birth or before the adoption.
"Supplementary birth certificate" means a new birth certificate prepared by the department of health upon receipt of a certified copy of an adoption decree or an abstract of it called the certificate of adoption.
