Haw. Code R. § 11-160-13 - Medical records
(a) Physicians and
advanced practice registered nurses shall maintain a record-keeping system for
all patients for whom the physician or advanced practice registered nurse has
issued a written certification for the medical use of cannabis
(b) Physicians and advanced practice
registered nurses shall maintain records that support the decision to recommend
the medical use of cannabis, including records of the diagnosis and treatment
of the debilitating medical condition for which the medical use of cannabis is
recommended.
(c) Pursuant to an
investigation of a certifying physician or a certifying advanced practice
registered nurse, the physician or advanced practice registered nurse shall
produce and make available copies of all medical records for state and local
law enforcement agencies or any other relevant authority for law enforcement
purposes, including the investigation or prosecution of a violation of any
provision of this chapter or paty IX of chapter
329, HRS.
