Haw. Code R. § 11-175-64 - Right to request a private physician in a psychiatric facility operated by the State or a county

Psychiatric facilities operated by the State or a county shall establish policies and procedures for the consumer's exercise of the right to request treatment by a private physician licensed under chapter 453, HRS. Such policies and procedures shall include mechanisms for:

(1) Provision of evidence of appropriate liability insurance coverage by the physician; and

(2) Agreement in advance by the physician that if private treatment is to be discontinued, written notification will be provided to the facility administrator 24 hours prior to such discontinuation.
