Haw. Code R. § 11-175-70 - Non-facility admission rights

Consumers admitted to mental health or substance abuse programs not provided in a psychiatric facility or residential treatment facility shall be informed verbally and in writing of the status of their admission to the program, including:

(1) Information on how to terminate services;
(2) Conditions which may lead to discharge;
(3) Conditions which may lead to initiation of proceedings for involuntary treatment or hospitalization, if appropriate; and
(4) For a consumer with a court order to obtain treatment:
(A) The legal basis of the order to obtain treatment;
(B) Expiration date of the order; and
(C) Types of information to be shared with the court as a result of a consent to release information.
