Haw. Code R. § 11-188-3 - Purpose
Data governance is the exercise of authority and management planning, oversight, monitoring, and securing the health care claims data entrusted to the agency and its designee(s). Data governance at the agency fosters a culture of shared responsibility, accountability and active participation among state agencies and the health care community in the use of health care claims data entrusted to the agency.
