Haw. Code R. § 11-25-11.5 - Classification of distribution systems

The classification of DSs ascends with the size of the population served by the public water system:

(1) Class 1 DSs serve water systems with a population of 1500 or less persons;

(2) Class 2 DSs serve water systems with a population of 1501 to 15,000 persons;

(3) Class 3 DSs serve water systems with a population of 15,001 to 50,000 persons;

(4) Class 4 DSs serve water systems with a population of over 50,000 persons.
