Haw. Code R. § 11-280.1-241 - Designation of Class A, B, and C operators
(a) UST system
owners and operators must designate:
(1) At
least one Class A and one Class B operator for each UST or group of USTs at a
facility; and
(2) Each individual
who meets the definition of Class C operator at the UST facility as a Class C
operator.
(b) Separate
individuals may be designated for each class of operator or an individual may
be designated for more than one of the operator classes.
(c) Owners and operators shall submit written
notice to the department identifying the Class A and Class B operators for each
UST or tank system in use or temporarily out of use no later than thirty days
after an operator assumes the operator's responsibilities as a Class A or Class
B operator. The notification must include the name of each operator, the date
training was completed, the name and address of each facility where the USTs or
tank systems for which the operator has been designated is located, and written
verification from a training program approved or administered by the department
that the Class A and Class B operator for each UST or tank system has
successfully completed operator training in the operator's class.
