Haw. Code R. § 11-55-29 - Recording of monitoring activities and results
When any NPDES permit requires monitoring of the authorized discharge:
(1) The permittee shall maintain records of all information resulting from any monitoring activities required by the NPDES permit;
(2) Any records of monitoring activities and results shall include for all samples:
(A) The date, exact place, and time of sampling or measurements;
(B) The individual(s) who performed the sampling or measurements;
(C) The date(s) the analyses were performed;
(D) The individual(s) who performed the analyses;
(E) The analytical techniques or methods used; and
(F) The results of the analyses; and
(3) The permittee shall retain for a minimum of five years any records of monitoring activities and results including all original strip chart recording for continuous monitoring instrumentation and calibration and maintenance records. This period of retention shall be extended during the course of any unresolved litigation or administrative enforcement action regarding the discharge of pollutants by the permittee or when requested by the director or regional administrator.
