Haw. Code R. § 11-850-145 - Advertising and displays
(a) A dispensary
licensee shall not engage in advertising in any media including but not limited
to:
(1) Broadcast or electronic media:
(A) Radio;
(B) Television;
(C) Internet; and
(D) Social media;
(2) Print media:
(A) Newspaper;
(B) Magazine;
(C) Billboards; and
(D) Placards on public transit vehicles or
public transit shelters; provided that a dispensary licensee may provide only
general information on the dispensary licensee's contact information, its
retail dispensing location, and a list of products available for dispensing
with a description limited to the information specified in section 11-850-143 by means of a website or a private messaging system in which an individual
requests such information from the dispensary.
(b) A dispensary licensee shall not display
cannabis or manufactured cannabis products in windows or in public
view.
(c) A dispensary shall not
use the words "candy" and "candies" on advertising, product lists, or product
menus.
(d) A dispensary and its
employees shall not make health or benefit claims regarding its products that
are unsubstantiated, false, or misleading in any particular.
