Haw. Code R. § 11-850-43 - Disposal or destruction

(a) A dispensary licensee or laboratory certified by the department to analyze cannabis and manufactured cannabis products shall dispose of or destroy unused, unsold, contaminated, or expired cannabis or manufactured cannabis products, or waste products resulting from the cultivating or manufacturing process, including any inventory existing at the time of revocation or surrender of a license, in a way that assures that the cannabis or manufactured cannabis product does not become available to unauthorized persons and is documented as subtracted from inventory.
(b) A dispensary licensee shall destroy or dispose of unused, unsold, contaminated, or expired cannabis or manufactured cannabis products by a means prescribed by the department or the department of public safety narcotics enforcement division administrator.
(c) A dispensary licensee shall establish written policies and procedures to be followed by all of its employees for the disposal or destruction of unused, unsold, contaminated, or expired cannabis and manufactured cannabis products.
