Haw. Code R. § 12-10-21 - Disabilities
(a) Impairment rating guides issued by the
American Medical Association, American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and any
other such guides which the director deems appropriate and proper may be used
as a reference or guide in measuring a disability.
(b) If an employee is unable to complete a
regular daily work shift on account of a work injury, the employee shall be
deemed totally disabled for work for that day.
