Haw. Code R. § 12-43-73 - Showing of interest
(a) A showing of
interest shall be established through verifiable written proof of the names and
signatures of employees.
(b) A
showing of interest may be filed simultaneously with, or within forty-eight
hours after, the filing of a petition under this subchapter. For petitions for
change or decertification, signatures of employees supporting the petition must
be obtained within two months of the date of the petition to be
valid.
(c) Upon request, the board
shall afford interested parties a contested case hearing in its investigation
of the showing of interest.
(d) An
employee organization shall be regarded as satisfying the showing of interest
requirement as an intervenor if it is the exclusive bargaining representative,
or if it is a party to the most recently expired collective bargaining
agreement covering the employees in the petitioned bargaining unit.
