Haw. Code R. § 12-45.2-36 - Open fires

Section 10.11.1 is amended to read as follows: "Section 10.11.1 Open Fires in Counties. Control of the following fires shall be established by each county:

1. Fires for cooking of food.
2. Fires for recreational, decorative, or ceremonial purposes.
3. Fires to abate a fire hazard.
4. Fires for prevention or control of disease or pests.
5. Fires for training of fire fighting personnel.
6. Fires for disposal of dangerous materials.
7. Fires for residential bathing purposes.

Except for closed incinerators approved by the state health department, private incineration is prohibited by state health laws. Clearance by the state health department for and notification of all agricultural fires either by telephone or written notice shall be on file with the AHJ before these fires are permitted."
