Haw. Code R. § 13-122-13 - Preservation of public and private property
The following actions are prohibited within a public hunting area:
(1) The damage or
disturbance of any property or improvement, including but not limited to litter
including hunter checking station sign in sheets, water facilities, signs,
equipment, fences, gates, buildings, food crop plantings, structures, or the
failure to leave gates as found;
(2) The dumping or disposing of any trash and
any other waste materials except in receptacles provided for dumping or
disposal purposes;
(3) The removal,
damage, or disturbance of any objects of antiquity, prehistoric ruins, fossil
remains, monuments, or burial sites;
(4) The discarding of lighted cigarettes,
cigars, smoking tobacco, matches, or the setting off of any explosives within
or into any public hunting area;
(5) The building of any ground fires except
where permitted in designated camping areas; and
(6) Camping overnight except in designated
areas or as provided in permits issued by the department or its authorized
representative.
