Haw. Code R. § 13-167-88 - Authority of mediator
The mediator shall attempt to help the parties reach a satisfactory resolution of their dispute, but shall not have authority to impose a settlement upon the parties. The mediator may conduct joint and separate meeting with the parties and make oral and written recommendations for settlement.
