Haw. Code R. § 13-183-60 - Suspension of operations

In the event of any disaster and pollution, or likelihood of either, having or capable of having a detrimental effect on public health, safety, welfare, or the environment caused in any manner or resulting from operations under a lease, the lessee shall suspend any testing, drilling, and production operations, except those which are corrective, or mitigative, and immediately and promptly notify the chairperson. The drilling and production operations shall not be resumed until adequate corrective measures have been taken and authorization for resumption of operations has been made by the chairperson.
