Haw. Code R. § 13-242-12 - Boating accident records: held five years
Records pertaining to any boating accident shall be retained by the department for a period of five years. At the expiration of five years the records shall be destroyed except in those instances where litigation or other circumstances, considered reasonable by the department, warrant retention for an additional period.
