Haw. Code R. § 14-52-30 - Administrative cancellations
(a) If a
participant fails to make the monthly contribution specified in the
compensation reduction agreement, or fails to pay the monthly administration
fee, the third-party administrator may administratively cancel the employee's
participation in the plan.
(b) The
third-party administrator shall notify the participant of the cancellation in
writing.
(c) The administrative
cancellation shall be effective retroactively to the beginning of the pay
period in which the participant failed to make the monthly contribution or pay
the monthly administrative fee.
(d) Once the administrative cancellation
becomes effective, any unused contributions shall be permanently forfeited to
the State,
