Haw. Code R. § 15-150-31 - Decision

Within sixty days after the hearing on the application for a variance unless an extension is agreed to by the applicant, the director shall render a written decision for approval or disapproval. In cases where action is required on both a shoreline setback variance and a special management area use approval, the director may grant a variance in conjunction with the special management area use approval. The provisions contained in section 15-15016 apply to this section.
