Haw. Code R. § 15-22-163 - Procedure for designation
(a) Any person,
including a governmental agency, or the authority on its own initiative, may
nominate any property for designation on the mauka area plan as an historic or
culturally significant property by the rule-making procedures set forth in the
authority's rules of practice and procedure.
(b) In addition to the general rule-making
petition requirements, each nomination shall contain the following information:
(1) The name of the property nominated for
designation;
(2) The tax map key
identification of the property and name or names of the owner or owners of the
property;
(3) A description of the
property and how it qualifies for designation under § 15-22-161;
and
(4) A statement of the
property's historic or cultural significance.
